CZ.NIC launches the Good Domain educational campaign
The aim of this ongoing campaign is to familiarise the public with the possibility of connecting their existence in the Internet world with their own domain.
Prague, 11 November 2013 – A good address is essential. Choosing the right address can have a great impact on the success of a business. A good Internet domain is also a good address. Sponsored by the CZ.NIC Association, the administrator of the national .CZ domain, the online part of the Good Domain campaign at www.dobradomena.cz is being launched with this motto today. The aim of this ongoing campaign is to familiarise the public with the possibility of connecting their existence in the Internet world with their own domain. The campaign was created by the advertising agency of Saatchi & Saatchi, and the public can become acquainted with it not only on the Internet, but also in outdoor spaces. The Good Domain campaign is a continuation of the activity with the same name from 2009.
‘Many small businesses and skilled people suffer from inadequate Internet presentations and pointlessly complicated Internet addresses, which make them difficult to find or do not impart the proper level of serious to their business. The aim of our campaign is to demonstrate the advantages of your own Internet presentation and, above all, a properly chosen domain name – a good Internet address’, says Ondřej Písek, marketing director of the CZ.NIC Association.
The campaign also explains why it is better to publish content on your own website rather than on social network profiles. At www.dobradomena.cz, where all communication is directed, visitors are given brief instructions for choosing and registering domains and everything that can be done with them. The website also aims to familiarise visitors with the basic principles on which the domain ecosystem operates, while also explaining the difference between national and generic domains and drawing attention to the importance of national domains in the local environment.
The campaign’s target group is tradesmen, small businesses and small firms that are not yet domain holders. This campaign is also aimed at active Internet users without their own domains.
