Prague, 13 Nov 2015 – The CZ.NIC association, the Czech national domain administrator, launched a crownfunding campaign yesterday on the Indiegogo.com platform to collect 100 000 USD in 61 days to fund the research and development of the Turris Omnia router. The whole amount was collected today after 8.30 a.m.

"We are very pleased to see such a big interest in the Turris Omnia router. We are happy that people appreciated the device we offer and supported our project that shall make the Internet a safer place on the side of end users. Yes, we collected the target amount at Indiegogo.com, but this does not mean that the job is done. On the contrary, we want to get as much funding as possible, so that we can further develop the Turris Omnia router and the entire Turris project. At Indiegogo.com we are going to introduce during our campaign what further improvements we plan to implement and offer thanks to the support of those interested,“ said Ondřej Filip,
CZ.NIC CEO.
