Zdeněk Brůna became a new Technical Director of CZ.NIC

Work in CZ.NIC is not new for Zdeněk Brůna, who has been an active member of the Collegium of the Association since 2008, where he represented domain registrars for the company ACTIVE 24.

Prague, 19. January 2016 - At the beginning of this year, Zdeněk Brůna became a new member of the management team of CZ.NIC, the Czech national domain administrator. As Technical Director, he will be primarily responsible for the operation and development of the .cz domain name management system. Work in CZ.NIC is not new for Zdeněk Brůna, who has been an active member of the Collegium of the Association since 2008, where he represented domain registrars for the company ACTIVE 24. Jaromír Talíř, the former Technical Director of CZ.NIC, moved to the managing position of Technical Partner. His job will primarily include expanding of the domain administration system (FRED) both locally and abroad, and improving of the mojeID service.

"The change in our programmer and administrator teams is connected to the further development of not only this department, but the entire CZ.NIC. Zdeněk Brůna has been contributing to the operation of the Collegium for many years as its member, which means that this environment is not unfamiliar to him. Another advantage of Mr. Brůna is also the fact that as a longtime and now former Technical Director of ACTIVE 24, he knows very well the environment of registrars, their needs and problems. I believe that Zdeněk Brůna and Jaromír Talíř will properly complement and inspire each other, thus creating a powerful tandem," said Ondřej Filip, CEO of CZ.NIC.

From 1994 to 2000, Zdeněk Brůna studied Economics and Management in Electrical and Power Engineering at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of Czech Technical University in Prague. Already during his studies, he started working for the company ICZ, where he worked as a project manager in the department of outsourcing services until 2003. Next step of his career was working for the company ACTIVE 24, in which he first held the position of the Head of Server Hosting Division and a manager for major customers. Since November 2005, he then worked there as Technical Director. Over the years, Zdeněk was active in the Association as a member of the Collegium of CZ.NIC, where he represented the Chamber of Registrars from 2008.
