“In the following period of time, demanding tasks with the CZ domain transfer to the new administration system are in store for the CZ.NIC association,” said Ondřej Filip, Managing Director of the CZ.NIC administration. “I am sure that our team will manage the migration without any problems and will enable registrars and domain holders to utilize advantages of the new system.”
New system for the CZ domain administration
The new system for the CZ domain registration and administration will be launched on 1 October, 2007. Thanks to the transfer of the registry system from the outsourced partner back to the CZ.NIC association, the whole operation of the CZ domain registry will be more efficient and, therefore, the association's costs of its operation will significantly decrease. Regulations for the CZ domain registrations will be simpler.
The new domain registration and administration system was developed and has been operated by the CZ.NIC association; since September, 2006, registration of the ENUM domains has been operating there.
Other details related to the transfer of the CZ domain administration to the new system will be continuously published on the CZ.NIC web pages at http://nic.cz.
