On the occasion of the 20th annual Information Security Summit (IS2), Ondřej Filip, the CEO of CZ.NIC, received an award for his contribution to cyber security in the Czech Republic and entered the Cybersecurity Hall of Fame. The award was handed by Juraj Šedivý, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of CETIN. The first laureate of the award was Jaroslav Šmíd from NÚKIB, who obtained it last year.
“It’s an honor for me to become a member of the Cybersecurity Hall of Fame. I also view this as commending of the projects we have been working on in CZ.NIC for many years. The ones that pop into my mind right now are Turris Omnia and Turris MOX routers, the CSIRT.CZ National Security Team or the FENIX security project, on the creation and molding of which we have worked closely with colleagues from the NIX.CZ neutral peering node,” said Ondřej Filip on the occasion of his initiation.
The Information Security Summit (IS2) is held once a year by the company TATE International. This event includes a ceremonial induction into the Cybersecurity Hall of Fame of one nominated personality who has significantly influenced or positively contributed over a long period of time to cyber security in the Czech Republic.
