Eyewitnesses will certainly remember the often-hectic times, which arose first and foremost from the outdated information connected with domain names. It was therefore sometimes difficult to get information about expected payments for the extension of registration to the right addressee. Later, in support of the "competition" with non-paying speculators, the association introduced so-called special requests.
In the autumn of 2003 .cz also invited co-operating registrars into the administration of the domain. The last important change so far in the rules of registration is enabling the settlement of conflicts concerning domain names before the Court of Arbitration of the Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic and the Agrarian Chamber of the Czech Republic.
I would like to thank all those who participated or are participating in the administration of the .cz domain, co-operating bodies of state administration, members of the association of CZ.NIC, suppliers and other partners. I wish for the holders of domain names that this tiny, but recently increasingly significant, instrument will help them in their activities.
Jiří Dohnal, Director of the Association
