On Saturday, the 28th year of the Czech Lion Awards took place which meant success for two projects that involved the CZ.NIC Association. The #martyisdead series was awarded for international success in the category of extraordinary enterprise in the field of audiovision. The V síti project won the Czech Lion award for the best documentary. In case of #martyisdead, the CZ.NIC Association was a co-producer, and as for the V síti documentary, the czech national domain administrator was its general partner.
"Both film projects in which the CZ.NIC Association was involved through the Safely on Internet (Bezpečně na netu) project get awarded on Czech and international festivals and also enjoy majour popularity with general public. Thanks to an audiovisual form, the producers of the #martyisdead and V síti projects were able to present currently relevant and very serious topics related to child abuse on the internet in a very good way. We believe that similar projects can offer an ideal way to show important information and get attention of children, their parents and pedagogues alike," says Martin Kožíšek, head of the Safely on Internet project, one of the educatory activities of the CZ.NIC Association.
