Věra Mikušová from CZ.NIC was elected to the Steering Committee of the international organization TF

TF-CSIRT brings together security teams from Europe and neighboring regions and works closely with similar organizations around the world. The main objectives of TF-CSIRT include the effective sharing of information regarding not only incident response but also current trends, threats and risks in the field of cyber security.

CZ.NIC’s security and legislative cooperation specialist Věra Mikušová has been elected to the seven-member Steering Committee of the international organization bringing together security teams from Europe and neighboring regions. The main task of the Steering Committee members is to coordinate and develop the activities of the organization, whose main objective is to share information on security services, data and information in a timely and efficient manner, while defending the interests of its 500 members. Věra Mikušová was elected as a member of the CZ.NIC-CSIRT security team until September 2026.

“I view my membership in one of the main governing bodies of TF-CSIRT as an opportunity to address the needs of the Czech security community and to have a direct influence on the decision-making within this important international organization. I very much appreciate the fact that I can be part of a professional community of this nature and contribute to its development together with other members,” says Věra Mikušová from CZ.NIC.

TF-CSIRT brings together security teams from Europe and neighboring regions and works closely with similar organizations around the world. The main objectives of TF-CSIRT include the effective sharing of information regarding not only incident response but also current trends, threats and risks in the field of cyber security. TF-CSIRT also participates in the coordination of activities between the executive units of the organization and governmental, non-profit and private entities. TF-CSIRT members are involved in research projects, development of new security tools, as well as education of other members.

The security team of CZ.NIC, CZ.NIC-CSIRT, became an accredited member of TF-CSIRT in 2010. A year later, it was joined by the National Security Team CSIRT.CZ, which has been operated by the Czech National Domain Administrator CZ.NIC since December 2010 on the basis of a public contract signed with the National Security Authority. In the past, Zuzana Duračinská from CZ.NIC was a member of the Steering Committee, serving in this capacity from 2016 to 2018.
