“We have been working with CZ.NIC since 2022 and using its czech datacenters to operate .UA domain registry. Hosting .UA domain on CZ.NIC DNS anycast infrastructure is another step further providing significant help to Ukrainian internet users, including industrial, government, academic and also military sectors, who all rely on stable operations of .UA domain names. I am thankful to our colleagues from CZ.NIC who becames our key infrastructure partner to ensure reliable operations," said Dmytro Kohmanyuk, Chief Strategy Officer, Hostmaster.UA, on the cooperation with CZ.NIC.
“The DNS infrastructure of CZ.NIC is designed and built to be as robust as possible to withstand cyber-attacks that are orders of magnitude stronger than normal traffic. Thanks to DNS hosting, the Ukrainian domain gets an extremely resilient and stable service with worldwide coverage. In conjunction with the DNS site established in Kiev, users of the Ukrainian domain also get very fast local response of their services, and users of the .CZ domain get higher capacity and better coverage of the European region,” said Tomáš Hála, IT Director of CZ.NIC.
“Hosting the Ukrainian national domain on the DNS infrastructure of our Association is the last step of the project we started working on before the escalation of the military conflict. Even then, we were discussing with our colleagues from the Ukrainian registry the possibilities of strengthening the robustness of their registry, i.e. the use of our systems in the Czech Republic,” said Ondřej Filip, CEO of the CZ.NIC Association, about the cooperation between the two organizations.
CZ.NIC announced the establishment of a DNS site in Kiev, Ukraine, at the end of March. For more information about this 14th node, see the press release on the Association’s website.
