CZ.NIC association hosts domains with Danish national extension

The cooperation with Punktum DK company extends the activities of the Czech national domain administrator, adding the Danish top-level domain to the portfolio of domains hosted on the Association’s DNS anycast.

The Danish national domain administrator, Punktum DK, has chosen the CZ.NIC Association as their DNS hosting service for .DK domains. This cooperation extends the activities of the Czech national domain administrator, adding the Danish top-level domain to the portfolio of domains hosted on the Association’s DNS anycast.

This cooperation enables the Danish domain to offer its users a stable and reliable infrastructure with global coverage and fast response times. For CZ.NIC, it means enhanced international significance of its DNS infrastructure.

“We are very pleased that the Danish national domain administrator, Punktum DK, has chosen our Association as a partner. We have been investing in the long-term expansion and strengthening of our DNS anycast infrastructure to make it as stable, robust and resilient to cyber-attacks as possible, in order to ensure the reliable operation of both the Czech national domain and the important domains of our partners,” said Tomáš Hála, IT Director of the Association.

“We chose the CZ.NIC Association to be our partner for DNS hosting because of their modern, safe, and secure DNS anycast infrastructure with locations, that complement our existing anycast clouds and is known for the reliable operation of the Czech national domain name. We have been working with the CZ.NIC Association on the Knot DNS software and decided to expand our partnership with their DNS anycast offering,” said Erwin Lansing, Head of IT and Head of Security at Punktum DK.

Punktum DK manages a registry of approximately 1.3 million domains with the Danish national extension, two-thirds of which are protected by DNSSEC technology.
