More than 550 fans of Internet technologies attended the Internet and Technology 09 conference

Interested people watched the conference via the modern internet protocol IPv6. The presentations can be downloaded from the website of the conference.

Prague, 8 June 2009 – On Thursday 4 June, the second edition of the specialist conference called Internet and Technology 09 took place in Klub Lávka at Novotného lávka in Prague. The second meeting of Czech experts in the field of the Internet and Internet technologies was organized by the association CZ.NIC, administrator of the top level domain .CZ. The contributors addressed current issues from the world of the Internet. The participants thus had a chance to learn about BGP vulnerability, CERT and CSIRT security teams or about the current state and prospects of the electronic signature. 153 visitors were present directly in the auditorium and the online transmission of the Internet and Technology 09 conference captured the attention of more than 400 people, many of whom connected via the modern internet protocol IPv6.
„The interest in the conference was a pleasant surprise. The number of visitors exceeded the number of registered persons. We had to provide additional chairs during the first break to seat everybody. At the same time, we were pleased to see the interest in the online transmission. The fact that more than 400 people keen on Internet technologies watched the conference on their computers proves that such events are meaningful. We need not hesitate to announce the third edition of the conference. It will be held roughly one year from now", said Ondřej Filip, CZ.NIC CEO.
