It has been less than three days, since mojeID was launched and its provider, the CZ.NIC association, registers the first thousand users interested in this service. The jubilee registration took place at 12 noon today. On the day the service was launched, i.e. 26 October, users opened approximately 600 mojeID accounts.

Ondřej Filip, Executive Director of CZ.NIC association, the provider of the mojeID service, adds: “We were greatly surprised to see the interest in mojeID. Frankly speaking, we did not expect the first thousand users to sign in so soon. It is obvious that the Czech internet users are attracted by the service and understand how useful it could be. The interest in the service is a signal for providers of the Internet services. If they wish to implement and use mojeID in the framework of their services, the only thing they should do is to visit www.mojeid.cz to learn some more details. As mojeID is based on the OpenID standard, they do not have to worry about any technical complications or high costs of implementation of this technology. The majority of work is easily done by freeware tools.”
